I'm one of those who, in response to Kos appeals for $$ for the DNC, snipes that the DNC isn't an effective place to spend my money, that they don't do enough and what they do is often inane.
Well, I'm about to donate.
Here's why:
Terry McAuliffe is apparently doing a road show called the "State of the Worker." I think the schedule focuses on rust belt states (Toledo and Kalamazoo were mentioned). The goal, at any rate, is to pre-empt Bush's SOTU and focus attention on how bad his policies have been for workers. In the news report I heard about his stop in MI, he also praised Gov. Granholm's efforts to create new jobs.
Anyway, it's the kind of thing a lot of folks here have been clamouring for. And it's in the states where we'll beat W. So I, for one, will put my money where my mouth is and finally donate.
I just hope they stop sending me those inane fundraising appeals disgusied as surveys.
